Responsibilities:
  • Experienced UI Front End Software Engineer (SWE3), directly meeting mission-critical needs in partnership with mission customers.
  • This individual will lead a team of UI developers, designing front-end architecture and coding standards while remaining hands-on in development across the full software product lifecycle in an agile environment.
  • Responsibilities span analyzing user requirements to derive design and performance standards, developing and debugging software, integrating systems, and implementing algorithms to meet performance goals.
  • The ideal candidate has front end experience, translates UX/UI designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces, and mentors junior developers while collaborating closely with system engineers and product stakeholders to resolve technical problem areas. 
  • Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers, providing technical guidance, standards, and code review
  • Architect and implement scalable, maintainable front-end solutions using modern frameworks
  • Translate prototypes and design specifications into functional, responsive, and accessible interfaces
  • Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross-browser issues, and technical debt
  • Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, and architectural decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG) throughout development

Required:
  • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD
  • Twelve (12) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team
  • Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Full-stack experience, including backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL API design
  • Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud is a plus)
  • Experience working closely with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure accurate implementation of accessible interfaces
  • Experience working with tiered architectural systems and in a Linux/Ubuntu environment is a plus
Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

The proposed salary range for this position is:  $215,731.00      $230,393.00
